First Aid

All courses are certificated by an HSE (Health and Safety Executive) approved provider and can be tailored to meet the particular interests of the group.All courses are available midweek or at weekends.

One Day Course

This suits individuals who wish to have a very basic understanding of the main principles of First Aid.Ideal for someone in the classroom or workplace who does not work out of doors. It covers CPR (cardio pulmonary circulation). bleeding, shock, fractures and common medical emergencies.It could have a specialist element if required, for example children or geriatric care.

Two Day Course

Ideal for a teacher or persons who would like a more in depth understanding of First Aid procedures and practices including practical scenarios.
This course is recognised by GoverningBodies such as MLTB, SCA, RYA, SNSC. and meets the training requirements of those involved in outdoor activities, covering a wider spectrum of situations and practical casualty management.

Four Day Course

This is a full HSE (Health and Safety Executive) First Aid at Work qualification.

This course is recommended for individuals who wish to become a registered First Aider in an establishment or those who aspire to becoming a tutor of the subject. It involves three and a half days of training plus a half day assessment on the theory and practical aspects of First Aid.
It has an in depth syllabus thoroughly covering all First Aid topics.It can be given a specialist slant for particular groups, for example working in the outdoors or caring for children. An ideal course for nursing staff or janitorial support services of an establishment.

Residential First Aid Courses at The Beeches come highly recommended to give participants the opportunity to fully engage in appropriate practise in an ideal environment.It may be possible however for a tutor to offer in house training at the workplace for an established group.Weekend and midweek training opportunities are available.
